We offer the following apprenticeships:
Quality products are made possible by tool mechanics: The skill to handle a wide variety of metals must be learned. Only with this knowledge can high-precision plastic or ceramic tools be made fit for series production. Milling, turning, eroding, grinding . . . These and other machining methods can only be mastered by specialists equipped with technical know-how and maximum diligence supported by state-of-the-art technology. The production and assembly of injection moulds requires a lot of skill, teamwork, and concentration. Our instructors have the appropriate and wide-ranging know-how.
Your profile:
- You have a lower secondary school qualification or higher
- You are interested in technical professions
- You are technically gifted and have a good spatial imagination
- You are committed and diligent in your work
Process mechanics ensure that the machines in the production plant are always operational. During the production process, they are the first ones to carry out quality controls. In the plastics processing industry, the process mechanic has a key role: He is not only responsible for ensuring that the machines and the tools provided by the customer are handled carefully, he also bears responsibility for the customer’s product.
In addition to injection moulding, his tasks include the following: setting up the moulds on the machines and troubleshooting, as well as the care and maintenance of machines and systems.

Mechatronics engineers assemble complex systems from mechanical and electrical components. Robot and PLC programming, milling, drilling, grinding, the assembly of switchboards – all this, and more, are tasks of mechatronics engineers in our manufacturing process.
Since the modern working world is shaped by autonomous automatic machines, complex fully or semi-automatic systems are indispensable, especially in mass production. This is how we secure jobs with a future at Sternplastic Hellstern.
